We find the tri-point ATCHLIn in the middle of the river Rhine, near border crossing Feldkirch-Büchel, near Feldkirch (At).
The tripoint is in the middle of the river and is numbered #136. It even is Austria's Westernmost point.
In august 2025 we came back, now with Bruno as guide, who showed us even BM #130.
Nice to see the differents of Bm # 7, #8 and #130.
These photos show the historic border markers that Bruno pointed out to me: painted poles in the national colors marking the border between Austria and Liechtenstein.
Bordermarker 130 is located on the Austrian–Liechtenstein border and is considered one of the most difficult border markers to find. Due to its remote location and lack of signage, it is rarely visited and largely unknown even to experienced border researchers.
During the Livcotex-25 expeditionof the International Border Research Group, I was fortunate to reach this exact spot thanks to Bruno’s expert guidance. His local knowledge made it possible to document this rare and significant border marker accurately.
While Bruno and I explored the Austria–Liechtenstein border, other members of the International Border Research Group (IBRG) conducted research at the nearby tripoint AT–CH–LI. This wet tripoint, where Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein meet, had already been visited by Wilma and me in 2024.
The photo shows the IBRG crew at border marker no. 135.
