Ourthe Department 1795
The area of Eupen, Malmedy and Sankt Vith and their surrounding areas were united for the first time in a modern national state Ourthe Department, named after the river Ourthe.
It was created on 1 October 1795, when the Austrian Netherlands and the Prince-Bishopric of Liège were officially annexed by the French Republic.Before this annexation, the territory included in the department had lain partly in the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, the Abbacy of Stavelot-Malmedy, the Duchies of Limburg and Luxembourg, and the County of Namur.
Only 20 years later, after Napoleon was defeated , the Congress of Vienna in 1815 attributed this territory, where the population spoke different German dialects, Walloon, German and French, to Prussia. The tripoint BEDELU than was situated at bordermarker 75 (Luxembourg Northernmost point B 286).
After the Southern Netherlands split of from the Northern Netherlands (Belgium war 1830), the border - as you see left - from here exsisted as border between Belgium and Pruissen.
After WO I the Ourthe Department went back to Belgium. The tripoint BEDELU than was situated at Ouren.

Northernmost point
The Northernmost point of Belgium is located at border-marker nr. 219a (BENL). It is situated near a village called Meersel-Dreef.
However most websites and Mr. Waes as well, mention bordermarker nr. 219 as most Northern, actually about 30 mtr. up North, there's borderstone 219a as actuall Northernmost point of Belgium.

Easternmost point
The Easternmost point of Belgium, located at bordermarker nr. 401 on the border with Germany (counting 1919).
It is situated near a village called Kehr (Hellenthal).

Southernmost point
The southernmost point of Belgium lies just south of the picturesque village of Torgny, in the municipality of Rouvroy (province of Luxembourg).
This quiet corner marks the very edge of the Belgian border with France. Surprisingly, I didn't found an official border marker or signto indicate this geographically significant spot — only untouched nature.
When I visited, the only “guardians” of Belgium’s southern border were a pair of foxes and their four playful pups, keeping watch over this peaceful and hidden boundary.
Le point le plus méridional de la Belgique se trouve juste au sud du pittoresque village de Torgny, dans la commune de Rouvroy (province de Luxembourg).
Ce coin tranquille marque la limite de la frontière belge avec la France. Étonnamment, je n'ai trouvé aucune borne ni aucun panneau officiel indiquant ce lieu géographique important ; seulement une nature intacte.
Lors de ma visite, les seuls « gardiens » de la frontière sud de la Belgique étaient un couple de renards et leurs quatre petits joueurs, qui veillaient sur cette frontière paisible et cachée.
