Želená Ruda (CZ) - Bayerisch Eisenstein (DE)
Here you find an impression of the by border devided railwaystation at the border of
Želená Ruda (CZ) - Bayerisch Eisenstein (DE).
Left and right two visuals of how the border devides the station, as well as the stationbuilding.
Besides the railwaystation, we also walked around it and met some bordermarkers around it.
View from Czech, we entered from this site
lots of tollfree parking space ;).
View from 2nd platform.
View on 1st platform.
Here, on the backside of the station we found BM 3/1.
Later we will fiond BM 3 on the frontside.
Walking on the border.
Follow the red line on the platform.

BM 3/3 is the first we find here.
Just further in the wood
we found BM 3/4.
Just nearby 3/4.
Walking further, we find BM 3/5
Only 160 mtr. further BM 3/6.
Here we stop on this side of the border.
We like to see and do more.
Comming back out of the wood.
On the frontside of the railwaystation
we find BM 3.
Also on the front side you'll find a wooden bench, which is placed exactly in the middel on the border.
Have a good look, Wilma now is sitting in Czech and Germany the same time.
With a view downhill you also see BM 2/3.
Here a better view after we went downhill.
A sign of the 'Landes grenze' nearby BM 2/3.
Bordercrossing on the road.
The border is in the middle of the brook.
Just some meters from the bridge

and a railway museum.
Marker near the entrance of the museum
and one opposite of the frontdoor.
A name we see often in more languages near the borders.
On Czech-side a replica of the
Iron curtain is build. It's like we see at
the NL/BE border, where the
'Doodendraad' (1914-1918) has it's rebuilds.
On DE-side we see a sign of the
altitude of the railwaystation.
We finish here with a look
in the museum. It's in the middle of
the railwaystation, even the museum
is devided by the border.
Just let the museum talk.
