Sur cette page, nous allons visiter les bornes frontières 101 à 125, que nous trouverons de Gaichel à Oberpallen.
La première partie, des bornes 101 à 114, je l’ai parcourue seul le samedi matin. L’après-midi, j’ai rejoint une visite guidée en groupe, organisée par Jos. Avec le groupe, nous avons marché de la borne 114a à la 125.

On this page we will visit the bordermarkers 101 - 125, which we will find from Gaichel to Oberpallen.
The first part from 101 till 114 I walked alone on saturday morning. In the afternoon I joined a guided grouptour, arranged by Jos. With the group we walked 114a - 125.
Un très bon augerbe où j’ai passé deux week-ends plus qu’agréables.
# 111 - # 112
On the pictures it's not quite clear that the borderline now in 2025 likes to move 'rather strange'.
On the maps now, I can imagine the borderline would follow the woods and turns left from #111a, not right into the middle of a field and cross that to #111c, which was very hard to find!
I am curious how and more specific, why, the borderline was drawned in 1843, like it is.

Borne 115 - 125
En tant que guide d’un jour, Jos Goergen a dirigé une randonnée de groupe à laquelle j’ai eu la chance de participer le samedi 12 juillet 2025.
La randonnée nous a conduits (dans le sens inverse) de la borne frontière 115 jusqu’à la 125.
J’ai également pu photographier toutes les pierres auxiliaires, y compris les 118a - 118c.

As guide for one day, Jos Goergen guided a groupwalk, I was lucky to join on saturday 12 july 2025.
The tour leaded us (in opposite way) from bordermarker 115 till 125.
I could photograph all helpstones as well, even 118a, 118b and 118c.

Bordermarkers 118 - 120
Special here are the bordermarkers 118a - 118c and 119a - 119e, however the location of #120 ain't easy to find.
118a - 118c re to be find on private property. I was very lucky that the owner just went back home, so I could ask for permission. He was so kind to show me all 3 bm's, which ain't possible without permission.

Bm 119 counts 5 stones that helps to show the exact borderline.
So, an interesting borderarea here.

Borne 118 - 120
Ce qui rend cette zone particulière, ce sont les bornes frontières 118a à 118c et 119a à 119e. Cependant, la borne n°120 n’est pas facile à localiser.
Les bornes 118a à 118c se trouvent sur une propriété privée. J’ai eu beaucoup de chance : le propriétaire venait justement de rentrer chez lui, ce qui m’a permis de lui demander l’autorisation. Il a eu la gentillesse de me montrer les trois bornes, ce qui n’aurait pas été possible sans son accord.

La borne 119 est composée de cinq pierres, qui permettent de marquer précisément la ligne de frontière.
Bref, une zone frontalière vraiment intéressante.
